This is an important year for high school sophomores as you prepare for the Connecticut Academic Performance Test, usually administered in March. One way to satisfy Naugatuck High School's performance standards is to earn a 3 or better on all sections of the CAPT: Reading, Writing, Math and Science. By working toward this goal, you will only need to complete three additional standards by the end of your senior year: technology, interpersonal skills and civics.

If you choose to do all your work, you increase your chances of attaining this goal. And Mrs. Messenger is here to help.

You may choose to work with Mrs. Messenger during second or fifth period in J104. You can also stay after school for assistance.

Five computers are also available for students to use in J104. You can make arrangements with Mrs. Messenger to use these computers to conduct research on the Internet, prepare assignments and essays, and complete blog posts and online assignments.

It's going to be a great year!
